Many hotels are missing out on a huge revenue opportunity by not offering day passes. Day passes are a great way to attract new guests and generate additional revenue, but only if you do them right.
Here are a few reasons why no one is booking your day pass:
- No one can find you. I recently searched for "hotel day pass Phuket" and only two hotels came up in the top 10 results on Google. This is because most hotels don't have a dedicated page on their website for day passes, and they don't do any SEO to rank for relevant keywords.
- Your offer isn't good enough. If you want people to book your day pass, you need to make it an offer they can't refuse. This means offering a competitive price and including extras like food and beverage credits or spa treatments.
- You don't make it easy to book. Guests should be able to book your day pass directly on your website, without having to go through a third-party booking site. You should also make it easy for guests to find information about your day pass, such as the hours of operation and what amenities are included.
- You're not using the right technology. There are a number of tools and technologies that can help you sell more day passes, such as chatbots and online booking engines.
Here are a few tips for selling more day passes:
- Create a dedicated page on your website for day passes. The more niche the better. For example, you could create a page called "Day Pass - Phuket Panwa".
- Create an amazing offer. Make sure your offer is competitive and includes extras that guests will find valuable. The best hotel day passes offer the same value in F&B Purchases.
- Allow guests to book direct. Don't make guests go through a third-party booking site. Ensure the can pay with wallets and cards.
- Integrate with chat. Use a chatbot to answer questions about your day pass and make it easy for guests to book.
- Add your pool as an outlet on Google Maps. This will make it easier for guests to find you when they're searching for things to do in your area.
- Make it easy for guests to book online. Allow guests to book their day pass online, without having to call or email you. Limit the information required to essential only.
- Get listed on third-party booking sites. This is a great way to reach a wider audience.
